JBN Dreamer organized a visit to the LD Institute of Indology as part of their Knowledge Series 3, with approximately 30 members participating in the event. The visit was meticulously curated with significant support from Mr. Mehul Shah, who has a close association with the LD Institute of Indol-ogy. His involvement proved highly beneficial in making the visit more insightful.
On a special request, the museum curator, Ms. Priyanka, conducted an exclusive guided tour, provid-ing in-depth information about Jain architecture, sculptures, ancient coins, and various historical as-pects. Participants also gained valuable knowledge about manuscripts and their preservation.
The museum is privately managed and funded by the Kasturbhai Lalbhai Group, which is a matter of great pride. To date, the institution has digitized over 4 million manuscripts, with active involvement from Mr. Mehul Shah, making it a significant achievement.
Following the museum tour, the group also visited the library, where they learned more about its rich collection and historical significance.
Esteemed guests from the Hardboard, including Mr. Jenish Parikh, Ms. Urvi Shah and Ms. Dharna Shah, were also part of this enriching experience. The LD Institute campus itself is a remarkable place, offering a sense of serenity and a highly positive aura. Those who missed the visit are encouraged to explore this open-for-all institution with their families.
The visit concluded with participants enjoying Ahmedabad’s famous Maskaban and tea, marking a warm and memorable end to the event.
A heartfelt thank you was extended to all members who joined and contributed to the success of this program.
