The JITO Winter Box Cricket Premier League was successfully organized from the 2nd to the 5th of January 2025 at the Freehit Box Cricket ground, Science City, Ahmedabad. This exciting event witnessed immense participation from cricket enthusiasts, with 20 teams formed after an auction, competing to claim the coveted title. The league was played in a league-cum-knockout format, offering all teams equal opportunities to showcase their skills and teamwork. The venue, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, provided the perfect backdrop for an exhilarating tournament that brought together players, supporters, and spectators in large numbers. The presence of esteemed guests, including Rushabh Patel (Chairman), Rajeev Chhajer (Sr. Vice Chairman), Manish Shah (Chief Secretary) and Shital Shah (Treasurer and Convener, Cricket Committee) added prestige to the event. Their encouragement and support motivated the players and organizers alike. The success of the tournament was further bolstered by the dedicated efforts of the organizing committee, comprising Sports Conveners Hardik Shah and Aakash Kamdar with team members Aayush Vora and Rushabh Shah. Their hard work and meticulous planning ensured a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants and attendees. The competition was intense, with every match filled with thrilling moments that kept the audience engaged. The final match saw the best two teams battling it out, with the champion team, ‘AVOCAB Wires and Cables,’ emerging victorious, displaying remarkable strategy, resilience, and teamwork. The runners-up team, ‘ASB Avengers,’ also delivered an exceptional performance, making the finale unforgettable. Individual awards were presented to outstanding players, including the Best Batsman, Best Bowler, and Player of the Tournament, celebrating their stellar contributions. This tournament was a testament to the communitys passion for cricket and brought together 275 participants, fostering unity and camaraderie. To ensure the players and attendees were well taken care of, enticing dinners were served every evening, adding a delightful culinary touch to the event. The overwhelming support from the audience and the sportsmanship displayed by all participants added to the events grandeur. Looking ahead, the summer tournament dates will be announced soon, and all 275 participants will have the opportunity to compete once again.
